Cabbage Soup Diet Recipe
Ingredients Cabbage soup diet recipe:
1 onion
1 medium cabbage sliced thin or grated
1 red or green pepper
3 carrots
2 parsnip - optional
dry dill 1 tsp
dry parsley 1 tsp
salt
tomatoes � optional
Macedonian mix � 1 cup optional
celery- optional
savory - optional
Optional 300-500 grams of meat (chicken, pork or beef)
If you use meat, boil the meat in 2 liters of water with half a spoon of salt for about 40 minutes to an hour. If you do not use meat boil the water and add the cabbage, green pepper, onions, carrots sliced thin and reduce the heat. Boil for another 30-40 minutes. Add the dill, spices and salt to your taste.
At the end if you like sour taste you can add the tomatoes or tomato juice and let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Personally I prefer to add lemon juice or water from pickles.
I also cut 3-4 pickles at the very end and simmer it for 5 minutes.
You can serve the soup with crackers and fat free sour cream.
