Corn Bread

Ingredients Corn Bread:

1 1/4 cups of corn meal
3/4 cup flour
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1 1/2 tbsp of sugar
1/2 to 2 tsp salt
1 egg
1 cup milk


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease one 9x5x3 loaf pan with butter and then coat with flour.


Mix the corn meal, the flour, salt and the sugar. Set aside.If you prefer a salty taste put 2 teaspoons of salt and no sugar.
Beat the egg with milk and mix it with the dry ingredients Mix and add to hot pan.

Bake the bread for 20 to 25 minutes in a stove heated at 400 F. Check with a pick tooth to make sure it is ready.

This is great with any kind of chili!
