Watergate saladAccording to Wikipedia Watergate salad, also referred to as Pistachio salad, Hawaiian Surprise, Pistachio Delight, Picnic Passion, and Green Stuff. It is a sweet-tasting dessert salad made from pistachio pudding, canned fruit, and Cool Whip. It is very quick to prepare: the ingredients are combined and it can be chilled, if desired cold.
The canned fruit used can be a fruit cocktail and/or mandarin oranges. Mini-marshmallows, fresh fruit, and cottage cheese can also be added, and there are many slight variations with additional ingredients.
Watergate Salad Ingredients 1 large cool whip 1 litre 1 large crushed pineapple (can) 1 package of pistachio pudding 1 small cottage cheese
Put pineapple in a bowl and stir in dry pudding. Fold in cottage cheese 250g and add cool whip. Refrigerate for 2 hours
